Anxiety

Anxiety can manifest itself in many different ways and to varying degrees. For some, it looks like a heightened sense of worry that spreads itself across all areas of life. For others, it can look like phobias, or acute fear or stress that presents in only one area of life. Anxiety can show up both in your thought life and in your body. One of the most important pieces of working with anxiety is helping the nervous to calm and enter into a place of increased safety and calm. With gentle work to promote nervous system regulation, challenging thoughts that perpetuate anxiety, and perhaps working through the root of anxiety, we work together to help find balance.
